 劇場版「BLOOD-C」　水樹奈々による主題歌が初披露

この『BLOOD-C』をテーマとする大型イベント「BLOOD-“C”arnival」が、4月22日に東京・メルパルクホールで開催された。豪華ゲストも登壇し、会場を埋め尽くした1500名のファンを熱狂させた。

この日登壇したのは、水樹奈々さんのほか、テレビシリーズのメインキャストであった藤原啓治さん、野島健児さん、浅野真澄さん、福圓美里さん、阿部敦さ ん、鈴木達央さん、宮川美保さんらである。イベントはテレビシリーズの感動を振り返ると同時に、6月2日に公開が迫る『劇場版BLOOD-C The Last Dark』に向けたものでもある。
これまで未公開映像を含むウェブ用のPV映像がここで初披露されるなど、映画への期待を盛り上げるものとなった。この映像は公式サイトでも同日解禁となっている。

そんななかで、イベント中に大きなサプライズイベントが行われた。水樹奈々さんが『劇場版BLOOD-C The Last Dark』で自ら担当した主題歌「METRO BAROQUE」を初披露した。突然の新曲ライブに、会場は歓声に包まれた。
水樹奈々さんは、新曲の作詞について「東京決戦となる劇場版の物語をイメージし、タイトルをつけた」と話す。また“BAROQUE”にある ゆがんだ真珠の意味を、大都市にやってきた小夜にたとえる。さらに曲には「裏切られても前に進む強い意志を込めた。」という。
新曲を初披露するときは緊張するという水樹さんだが、「みんなが盛り上げてくれて嬉しかった。」と安堵した様子だ。映画は「テレビ版をみていなくても、楽 しめる映画だし、テレビ版を見ている人はより深く楽しめる映画になっています。」と劇場版の仕上がりに自信を見せる。「METRO BAROQUE」は、6月6日にリリースされる27thニューシングル「ＴＩＭＥ　ＳＰＡＣＥ　ＥＰ」に収録される。

『劇場版BLOOD-C The Last Dark』は、永遠を生きる小夜と異形なる「古きもの」の果てしない戦いを描く。舞台は様々な陰謀がうごめく東京に移る。大切なものをすべて失った小夜の復讐劇が始まる。
